A Conversation with Governor George Allen | Competitiveness Among US States | Law and Order with Economic Prosperity | US Miltary Readiness

December 21st, 2022

Join America's Roundtable Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a conversation with Governor George Allen who served the Commonwealth of Virginia for more than 20 years, as governor, in both bodies of the United States Congress, and as a delegate holding Thomas Jefferson’s seat in the Virginia General Assembly.

As a former United States Senator and member of the House of Representatives, Governor George Allen shares his thoughts and ideas regarding the top priorities that the House Republican leadership ought to consider for the next two years. Governor Allen will also weigh in on the lessons learned from the 2022 midterm elections. The discussion will also highlight the importance of economic competitiveness among US states, and how America's citizens benefit from low taxes, less government regulation and greater economic liberty.

Governor Allen also highlights serious concerns regarding the dangerous politicization of the United States Military, the low morale experienced within the ranks, and the urgency to rebuild the readiness of America's military. The discussion also spotlights the dangers on the U.S. southern border and the increased flow of drugs including fentanyl killing tens of thousands of young people across America.

The conversation also brings to the forefront the Abraham Accords, and its importance for America, Israel and the Middle East.

Brief Bio

George F. Allen served the Commonwealth of Virginia for more than 20 years, as governor, in both bodies of the United States Congress, and as a delegate holding Thomas Jefferson’s seat in the Virginia General Assembly.

Sworn in as governor in 1994, George Allen brought sweeping reform that made Virginia a national model in economic development, public safety, education accountability, and creative government. As a self-described “Common Sense Jeffersonian Conservative,” Allen pushed through cutting edge reform with bipartisan support in a legislature held by the opposition.

Elected to the United States Senate in 2000, George Allen continued to advocate policies to make America and Virginia a leader in innovation and technology. Senator Allen was unanimously elected a member of the Senate Republican Leadership as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2002.
