The company was then producing less than 20 boats per month, yet did the impossible in what National Geographic called the "Miracle Production" when Correct Craft built over 400 boats in less than 30 days while keeping the Sabbath.
The unique story of Correct Craft over the past 101 years reminds us all of the creativity and ingenuity of Americans fueling innovation and achieving ground-breaking results.

Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Bill Yeargin, President/CEO of Correct Craft, an iconic and innovative American boat manufacturing company based in Orlando, Florida.
The conversation is focused on America's exceptionalism and the nation's unique entrepreneurial spirit which fuels economic opportunities, economic growth and spurs private philanthropy and volunteerism.
Natasha Srdoc, Joel Anand Samy and Bill Yeargin take time to reflect on the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, and how Americans sacrificed much to defend freedom and liberate millions around the world from tyranny. The American "just" intervention saved millions of people and ended the extermination of Jews by Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany.
The timely broadcast also highlights how Correct Craft and its leadership heeded the call from General Eisenhower during a critical moment during World War II and stepped forward to build more than 400 boats in some 19 days. The record-breaking time to build these Storm Boats was done under the leadership's commitment to keeping the Sabbath.
This incredible story led the National Geographic to call it a "Miracle Production."
Correct Craft's Storm Boats saved the lives of 15,000 American soldiers and hastened the end of World War II in Europe. The Storm Boats were vital for the U.S. military in crossing the River Rhine, the last major natural barrier in Germany as the troops were heading to Berlin.
This year, Correct Craft celebrates its 100th anniversary and plans to bring a replica of the Storm Boat used in World War II to Washington, DC. This celebration symbolizes the significant role of an American company, heeding the call to advance freedom, and how its leaders over the course of the past century fueled economic growth for the nation.
The discussion highlights how Bill Yeargin and the leadership at Correct Craft navigated through major challenges and took the company from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion today.

<p>The conversation is focused on America&#39;s exceptionalism and the nation&#39;s unique entrepreneurial spirit which fuels economic opportunities, economic growth and spurs private philanthropy and volunteerism.</p>

<p>Natasha Srdoc, Joel Anand Samy and Bill Yeargin take time to reflect on the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, and how Americans sacrificed much to defend freedom and liberate millions around the world from tyranny. The American &quot;just&quot; intervention saved millions of people and ended the extermination of Jews by Adolf Hitler&#39;s Nazi Germany.</p>

<p>The timely broadcast also highlights how Correct Craft and its leadership heeded the call from General Eisenhower during a critical moment during World War II and stepped forward to build more than 400 boats in some 19 days. The record-breaking time to build these Storm Boats was done under the leadership&#39;s commitment to keeping the Sabbath.</p>

<description>Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with distinguished business leader Bill Yeargin, President/CEO of Correct Craft and author of six best-selling books including “Making Life Better,” “Education of a CEO” and the most recent “Faith Leap.” Mr. Yeargin serves on the American Leadership Task Force, Washington, DC, an initiative of America’s Roundtable and International Leaders Summit.
Bill Yeargin also serves as chairman of the National Marine Manufacturers Association with 1,300 member companies producing an estimated 85 percent of the boats, engines, trailers and accessories used by boaters and anglers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
According to published reports, the recreational boating supports 812,000 American jobs and 36,000 businesses in the U.S. and contributes to the $1.2 trillion outdoor recreation economy.
America's Roundtable conversation focuses on America's economy and the impact of public policy:
✅ Focusing on President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs on Canada and Mexico, as well as China and the European Union.
✅ The case for bilateral free trade agreements with allies including Britain, Canada, Europe and India.
✅ Forging a level playing field with a free, fair and reciprocal trade agreement.
✅ Correct Craft's unique American story as the iconic boat manufacturing company celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
"I am a CEO, not an economist, and I confess to having a strong affinity for capitalism. I believe if you want to help people, you should start a philanthropic organization. If you want to help a LOT of people, start a business. Capitalism is the undeniable wealth creator, but right now it is on life support."
Bill Yeargin, Losing Capitalism, CEO World Magazine
"We who live in free market societies believe that growth, prosperity and, ultimately, human fulfillment are created from the bottom up, not the government down. Only when the human spirit is allowed to invent and create, only when individuals are given a personal stake in deciding economic policies and benefiting from their success – only then can societies remain alive, dynamic, prosperous, progressive and free. Trust the people. This is the one irrefutable lesson of the entire post-war period, contradicting the notion that rigid government controls are essential to economic development. The societies that have achieved the most spectacular, broad-based progress are neither the most tightly controlled, nor the biggest in size, nor the wealthiest in natural resources. No, what unites them all is their willingness to believe in the magic of the marketplace."

<description>Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of the iconic boat manufacturing company Correct Craft which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025. Correct Craft's notable brands include Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, SeaArk, Parker, and Ingenity boat companies, Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Indmar Marine Engines, Velvet Drive Transmissions, Mach Connections, Merritt Precision, Osmosis, Watershed Innovation, and Aktion Parks.
Bill Yeargin also serves as chairman of the National Marine Manufacturers Association with 1,300 member companies producing an estimated 85 percent of the boats, engines, trailers and accessories used by boaters and anglers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The conversation highlights Bill Yeargin's recent op-ed piece in CEO World Magazine titled, "Losing Capitalism," (https://ceoworld.biz/2024/08/22/losing-capitalism/) in which he relays concerns about the strong headwinds that are blowing against the ideas of economic liberty and free markets. "I am a CEO, not an economist, and I confess to having a strong affinity for capitalism. I believe if you want to help people, you should start a philanthropic organization. If you want to help a LOT of people, start a business. Capitalism is the undeniable wealth creator, but right now it is on life support." — Bill Yeargin, Losing Capitalism, CEO World Magazine
The timely conversation also focuses on economic polices being presented including a major tax hike on businesses which will adversely impact small companies and workers, and schemes that will halt investments in America. As tax competition for lower rates continues around the world, America may well become an economic laggard with businesses leaving its shores for low tax jurisdictions.
The Wall Street Journal's editorial board (https://www.wsj.com/opinion/kamala-harris-corporate-tax-increase-business-wages-2024-election-746ee509) opined by stating:
"The Democratic team that brought you declining real wages is now threatening to lower your pay again. That’s the practical effect of Kamala Harris’s idea to raise the U.S. corporate tax rate to 28%, and it’s instructive that an anti-growth tax increase is one of the Vice President’s few distinctive policy priorities so far. Ms. Harris’s endorsement Monday of a 28% rate, up from the current 21%, signs onto what President Biden has been proposing."
Over the decades, there have been certain forces decrying the ills of capitalism and making unsubstantiated claims. The think tank The Institute of Economic Affairs, which offered reformer Margaret Thatcher strategic ideas on turning Great Britain away from socialism in the 1970s and 1980s states: "...but when we see such unsubstantiated claims, we should remember; the data simply doesn’t support the anti-capitalists."
The discussion also raises the concerns of skyrocketing government spending. Milton Friedman, Nobel prize winner in economics and founding partner of International Leaders Summit (the think tank which launched America's Roundtable) said: “Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that's the true tax … If you're not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you're paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or in the form of borrowing."
Bill Yeargin authored a number of books including the bestseller, "Education of a CEO", "Making Life Better" and the recently released "Faith Leap" - now available on Amazon.
In an earlier episode on America's Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shared about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually.

<p>The discussion also raises the concerns of skyrocketing government spending. Milton Friedman, Nobel prize winner in economics and founding partner of International Leaders Summit (the think tank which launched America&#39;s Roundtable) said: “Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that&#39;s the true tax … If you&#39;re not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you&#39;re paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or in the form of borrowing.&quot;</p>

<p>Bill Yeargin authored a number of books including the bestseller, &quot;Education of a CEO&quot;, &quot;Making Life Better&quot; and the recently released &quot;Faith Leap&quot; - now available on Amazon.</p>

<p>In an earlier episode on America&#39;s Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shared about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually. </p>

<description>Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of Correct Craft — a respected leader in the marine industry.
On America's Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shares about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually. Bill Yeargin leads a company of over 2000 employees with distributors in 70 countries. Correct Craft had a 99-year history as a premier boat manufacturer but was teetering on the edge of survival when he took the reins in the early 2000s.
During this conversation Bill Yeargin highlights his journey to the Middle East and the significance of the Abraham Accords and people-to-people relations through trade and investment to advance peace and prosperity.
He has authored a number of books including the bestseller, “Education of a CEO” and the recently released “Faith Leap” - now available on Amazon. A passionate lifelong learner, Bill Yeargin has earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA. He has also completed post-graduate studies at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, and MIT. Bill Yeargin served both the Obama and Trump administrations on cabinet-level advisory councils.
He is the Chairperson of The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), the nation’s leading trade association representing boat, marine engine and accessory manufacturers. Collectively, the association’s members manufacture an estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America.
“By the time I arrived at Correct Craft, the fighting within the company’s ownership family combined with a revolving door of CEOs, had created a culture that was, I think it’s fair to say, toxic,” says Yeargin. “Today, nearly 20 years later, Correct Craft has grown dramatically, exceeding our goal of over $1 billion in annual revenue. When people ask about the secret sauce that both turned Correct Craft around and fueled our tremendous growth, I share that it is primarily two things: our strategic planning process and our culture.”
He has been recognized with many of the marine industry’s top awards including Boating Industry's “Mover and Shaker of the Year.” Florida Trend magazine called him one of “Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders” and he is an Orlando Business Journal “CEO of the Year.” He was also presented the “Governor’s Business Ambassador Medal” by the Governor of Florida.

General Dwight D. Eisenhower's Urgent Request (https://boatingindustry.com/blogs/jonathan-sweet/2014/05/30/correct-crafts-world-war-ii-miracle/)
"Most of us in the industry know about the great work boat builders did during World War II to supply the military with vessels. It’s worth remembering, though, during this Memorial Day week. I was reminded of it once again as we finished up our anniversary issue, which went to print this week.
The folks at Correct Craft/Nautique Boat Company shared some of their photos and information from that era, including the “Miracle Production.” That was when the company, then known as Pine Castle Boat and Construction Company, built 400 boats in 15 days in 1945 to aid the war effort – all without working Sundays. I’m sure the story is familiar to many of you, but worth sharing again.
You can read the full story in the words of Ralph C. Meloon Sr. here, but these are some of the highlights: On February 9, 1945, the government contacted the company and asked them how many boats they could make by February 28.
Simply put, the military needed boats and they needed them fast. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower was requesting 569 boats to help move troops and supplies across the Rhine as the allies made their final push into Germany. Although only scheduled to make 48 boats that month, the company agreed to produce 300.
Despite pressure from the government to work seven days a week, the company kept to its long-held belief not to work on Sunday."

<p>On America&#39;s Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shares about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually. </p>

<p>He has authored a number of books including the bestseller, “Education of a CEO” and the recently released “Faith Leap” - now available on Amazon. </p>

<p>He is the Chairperson of The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), the nation’s leading trade association representing boat, marine engine and accessory manufacturers. Collectively, the association’s members manufacture an estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America. </p>

<p>“By the time I arrived at Correct Craft, the fighting within the company’s ownership family combined with a revolving door of CEOs, had created a culture that was, I think it’s fair to say, toxic,” says Yeargin. “Today, nearly 20 years later, Correct Craft has grown dramatically, exceeding our goal of over $1 billion in annual revenue. When people ask about the secret sauce that both turned Correct Craft around and fueled our tremendous growth, I share that it is primarily two things: our strategic planning process and our culture.” </p>

<p>During this conversation Bill Yeargin highlights his personal faith journey which he describes in the book &quot;Faith Leap,&quot; including how his faith has helped him lead a company of over 2000 employees with distributors in 70 countries. Correct Craft had a 99-year history as a premier boat manufacturer but was teetering on the edge of survival when he took the reins in the early 2000s. </p>

<p>He has been recognized with many of the marine industry’s top awards including Boating Industry&#39;s “Mover and Shaker of the Year.” Florida Trend magazine called him one of “Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders” and he is an Orlando Business Journal “CEO of the Year.” He was also presented the “Governor’s Business Ambassador Medal” by the Governor of Florida. </p>

<p>&quot; Most of us in the industry know about the great work boat builders did during World War II to supply the military with vessels. It’s worth remembering, though, during this Memorial Day week. I was reminded of it once again as we finished up our anniversary issue, which went to print this week. </p>
