Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with John Catsimatidis, one of America's top entrepreneurs and a tireless advocate advancing pro-growth policies. Catsimatidis is the owner and CEO of the Red Apple Group, a conglomerate that owns and operates assets in the energy, real estate, finance, insurance, and supermarket industries. John Catsimatidis is also the author of The Wall Street Journal and Publishers Weekly Bestseller — "How Far Do You Want to Go?: Lessons from a Common-Sense Billionaire."
In March 2020, John Catsimatidis’s Red Apple Media Inc., a subsidiary of Red Apple Group, Inc. completed the acquisition of Talk Radio 77 WABC, an iconic New York City radio station.
The conversation focuses on Catsimatidis’s recent meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump in Mar-a-Lago, his conversation with Steve Forbes on the urgency of tax cuts in America, and his thoughts on economic issues impacting American families and the need for immigration reform.
John Catsimatidis shares his concerns about the challenges faced in key cities across America including New York City and how ill-advised policies have led people to leave one of America's greatest cities. The trend of a mass exodus of citizens and businesses leaving states that are pushing failed economic and far-left policies can been seen in other states including California, known as the "Golden State."
AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act
Business and community leaders have been advocating for AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act. John Catsimatidis elevates this concern which is a national security issue.
Unfortunately, the legislative measure was not included in the final major legislation of the 118th Congress - the Continuing Resolution. First responders, state and community leaders have emphasized AM radio’s critical role in addressing emergencies.

Bio: John Catsimatidis (https://www.catsimatidis.com/about/)
John Catsimatidis came from humble beginnings.
John was born on the Greek Island of Nisyros in 1948 and 6 months later his parents emigrated to New York City in search of a better life. They settled on 135th Street in Harlem and his father found work as a busboy and his mother was a stay-at-home mom.
John is a true son of New York; he was educated in both the parochial and public school systems earning his high school diploma from Brooklyn Tech. John enrolled in New York University to study electrical engineering; going to school during the day and working in a small grocery store on nights and weekends to help his parents pay the bills. During his senior year, with just 8 credits remaining, John dropped out of NYU to work in the grocery business full-time. By his 25th birthday he was already a success with 10 Red Apple Supermarkets scattered along Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper Westside.
. . . and has lived the American Dream
Now, four decades later the Red Apple Group has evolved into a diversified corporation that has holdings in the energy, aviation, retail and real estate sectors and over 8,000 employees, with approximately 2,000 located in New York City. John and his wife Margo Catsimatidis live on Manhattan’s Upper East side and are parents to 2 grown children; Andrea and John Jr.
John is a firm believer in giving back to the community and has been a strong supporter of the Police Athletic League for nearly 30 years.
He serves on the Board of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, the Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund, and over the years served in a variety of volunteer positions in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with billionaire entrepreneur John Catsimatidis, author, "How Far do You Want to Go?" on vital issues impacting America's economy and security. John Catsimatidis is owner and CEO of the Red Apple Group,
owner of 77 WABC Radio and host of The Cats Roundtable. John Catsimatidis shares about his leading endeavors to fight back against the scheme by carmakers to eliminate AM radio from vehicles and the serious concern that removal of AM alerts will adversely affect millions of Americans when facing manmade and natural disasters.
The conversation also focuses on the high cost of energy and America's leadership on the world stage. John Catsimatidis also shares about his recent conversation with former President Donald J. Trump aired on 77 WABC radio (https://wabcradio.com/episode/president-donald-trump-04-30-23/).
New York Post | Carmakers’ unsafe, un-American push to eliminate AM radio (https://nypost.com/2023/04/26/carmakers-unsafe-un-american-push-to-eliminate-am-radio/)
"But some automotive makers — Ford among them — want to eliminate the AM option (https://nypost.com/2023/04/14/sean-hannity-speaks-out-on-electric-vehicles-ditching-am-radio/) in all gas-powered and electric 2024 models. The move isn’t only un-American — it’s just plain dumb. AM radio is undisputedly the most reliable form of communication during emergencies. And it’s not only small markets that depend on getting crucial information out via the airwaves — every major city uses AM alerts during manmade and natural disasters." — John Catsimatidis, Op-Ed | The New York Post

Bio: John Catsimatidis
