During the program, Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy delve into the major shift in US foreign policy, specifically as it pertains to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. President Trump has authorized for Ukraine to receive US weapons in defending the nation from Russian attacks. President Trump stated that he would infuse Ukraine with US weapons which are purchased by European allies.

President Trump simultaneously issued an ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin, giving him 50 days to arrange a ceasefire or face trade sanctions.

What does this change mean for America and its potential engagement with Ukraine and NATO partners? How will Russia's Putin respond? Is America's attitude toward supporting Ukraine changing, or will the concerns of isolationism remain a stumbling block?

Ambassador Gilmore served as America's top diplomat to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in President Donald Trump's first administration. His firm leadership through the Trump Administration made an impact within Europe's capital cities and its corridors of power specifically in regard to holding Russia to account.

In 2020, then-Ambassador Gilmore at a OSCE conference in Vienna, Austria, stated:

"The United States has repeatedly condemned Russia’s invasion, occupation, and purported annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula and the abuses that Russia commits there. In fact, I just finished doing that in response to their raising some trivial little error we made, but NOT an error of our policy. Today we would like to draw attention to the Russian government’s continuing conscription of individuals from Crimea into Russia’s armed forces. Compelling persons protected by the Fourth Geneva Convention to serve in the forces of a hostile power is a grave breach of the Geneva Convention, and a violation of the obligations that the Russian Federation owes under its subscription to the Geneva Convention. Once again, a violation of international norms and behavior and commitments that the Russian Federation has made and now violates."

Throughout her time in Congress, Marsha has led the fight to hold Communist China accountable. Her in-depth analyses of the Chinese Communist Party’s threats to American sovereignty have prompted Congress to examine legislation countering Beijing’s malign influence on global supply chains, technology infrastructure, and international organizations.

After Beijing took over the once autonomous region of Hong Kong in 2019, Marsha led bipartisan legislation, which was signed into law by President Trump, that prohibits the U.S. export of crowd control equipment to the Hong Kong Police Force. Her bipartisan Open Technology Fund Authorization Act, which supports internet freedom by addressing authoritarian regimes’ efforts to censor the internet, was also signed into law.

At the same time Marsha has stood up to Communist China, she has worked to bolster the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. In August 2022, she visited Taiwan, met with President Tsai Ing-wen in Taipei, and called to strengthen connections between the U.S. and Taiwan. During this visit, Marsha made her stance clear: Taiwan is a country.

On border policy, Marsha bases her approach on the simple truth that until our borders are secure, every town will be a border town and every state will be a border state. In the Senate, she has led the charge to fully fund the United States Border Patrol, restart construction of a physical barrier, impose harsher criminal penalties for drug smuggling, and fight for law and order on behalf of the thousands of women and girls lost to cross-border human trafficking.

Tom Garrett acquired his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Richmond, and began his service to our country with six years in the Army, becoming an artillery officer in the United States Army. Achieving the rank of Captain, Tom led soldiers overseas—most notably while deployed in Bosnia. Upon returning to the States, Tom earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond and quickly became an Assistant Attorney General for Virginia.

In 2016, Tom was elected to represent Virginia’s 5th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. Tom won that election with the most votes ever in the 5th Congressional District. Tom served the 5th District for two years before deciding not to seek reelection.

Carter's tireless efforts led the foundational cornerstone for treaties with Israel's Arab neighbors including Jordan and later through the Trump Administration's Abraham Accords.

Ambassador Eizenstat also shares about his personal friendship with the former president. He was at Jimmy Carter’s side from his political rise in Georgia through four years in the White House, where he served as Chief Domestic Policy Adviser. He was directly involved in all domestic and economic decisions as well as in many foreign policy ones. The conversation on America's Roundtable also brings to the forefront President Carter's bold economic reforms and how he came to be called the "Champion of Deregulation" by former Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX), a fiscal conservative leader.

In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal, Senator Gramm stated, " The Carter administration began oil-price deregulation using its regulatory powers and set in place the gradual deregulation of natural-gas prices with the 1978 Natural Gas Policy Act. And while the deregulation of the communications industry was driven by technological change, court decisions, regulatory action and finally legislation, the Carter regulatory reform through the Federal Communications Commission made competition the driving force in the development of policy. Energy deregulation, championed by Mr. Carter and then by Ronald Reagan, produced abundant oil and gas supplies."

Brief bio:

During a decade and a half of public service in six U.S. administrations, Ambassador Eizenstat has held a number of key senior positions, including Chief White House Domestic Policy Adviser to President Jimmy Carter (1977-1981); U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs, and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury in the Clinton Administration (1993-2001).

His recommendation to President Carter to create the Presidential Commission on the Holocaust headed by Elie Wiesel led directly to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, for which he is recognized as a key founder. Ambassador Eizenstat is an author of "President Carter: The White House Years" and "The Art of Diplomacy"

During the Trump administration, he was appointed by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as Expert Adviser to the State Department on Holocaust-Era Issues (2018-2021).

In the Biden administration, serving as Special Adviser to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Holocaust Issues, he played a major role in the negotiation of the Best Practices for the Washington Principles on Nazi-Confiscated Art (2024), now supported by 25 countries.

He was appointed by President Biden as Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Council (2022-present). Since 2009, he has served as pro bono Special Negotiator for the Jewish Claims Conference in negotiations with the German government, obtaining billions of dollars of benefits for poor Holocaust survivors, for home care, social and medical services, enhanced pensions, hardship payments, child survivor and Kindertransport survivors, special supplemental payments for the poorest of the poor, and worldwide educational benefits.

The conversation with Eric Trump focuses on the state of America's economy and Kamala Harris's proposed tax hike by increasing business taxes from 21% to 28% which will adversely affect workers and small business owners. The Harris Plan to Lower Your Wages
The Vice President wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%, which will ultimately be paid by workers.

"_The Democratic team that brought you declining real wages is now threatening to lower your pay again. That’s the practical effect of Kamala Harris’s idea to raise the U.S. corporate tax rate to 28%, and it’s instructive that an anti-growth tax increase is one of the Vice President’s few distinctive policy priorities so far. Ms. Harris’s endorsement Monday of a 28% rate, up from the current 21%, signs onto what President Biden has been proposing.

_U.S. companies during the Obama Administration often moved their headquarters to lower tax climes such as Ireland to avoid the high U.S. tax rate that made them less globally competitive. The Business Roundtable estimates that some $2.5 trillion in income earned abroad returned to the U.S. as a result of Mr. Trump’s 2017 reform. _

Ms. Harris pitches her 28% rate as merely punishing big companies, but economists of all stripes agree that U.S. workers pay for higher corporate taxes in lower wages. The corporate rate cut contributed to the strong pre-Covid U.S. economy in 2018 and 2019 with growing wages that many voters say they miss.

_The current U.S. corporate rate is above 25% when state corporate taxes are included, and the Harris increase would again make the U.S. a world outlier at above 30%. The OECD statutory average is a little north of 23%, and the European Union’s is lower at roughly 21%, according to the Tax Foundation. The average in Asia? About 19%. _

The next President will put his or her mark on America’s global competitiveness when many of the 2017 tax cuts expire in 2025, and on this score voters are getting a clear choice. Mr. Trump has suggested lowering the corporate rate to 15%. He can make this part of a larger theme of faster growth and rising incomes if he explains to voters what Ms. Harris’s tax increase means for average workers._"

Today, we are experiencing conflicts in Europe and the Middle East with rising tensions in Southeast Asia. The time-tested policy of "peace through strength" has been weakened by lack of American leadership on the world stage.

Bio | Congressman Doug Lamborn

In Colorado, Doug was called to public office and served in the Colorado General Assembly from 1995 to 2006, in both the State House and State Senate. During his time in the Colorado Legislature, Doug was elected Senate President Pro-Tem, served as Chairman of the Senate State Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus, and House Majority Whip.

Doug was then elected to the US House of Representatives in 2006 to represent Colorado's Fifth District. Doug also serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and its subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands, and the Energy and Mineral Resources subcommittee. The Subcommittee on Federal Lands is responsible for all matters related to the National Park System, U.S. Forests, public lands, and national monuments. The Energy and Mineral Resources subcommittee oversees public resources on public lands, including offshore energy development. Throughout his time in public service, Doug has been a leader on pro-family and small business issues, a strong advocate for our veterans and our military, and a supporter of lower taxes, immigration reform, less government spending, and protection of the Second Amendment.

Doug is married to Jeanie, his wife of 47 years and an accomplished artist and former teacher at the Bemis School of Art in Colorado Springs. The Lamborn's have also raised five extremely successful children. Their four sons were Eagle Scouts and, among them, have served as a doctor, in the military, as an attorney, and as a member of the film industry in Los Angeles.

The Wall Street Journal in a report on July 3, 2024 stated, "The Fed raised rates at the fastest pace in 40 years in 2022 and 2023 to combat inflation that also rose to a four-decade high. They have held their benchmark rate in a range between 5.25% and 5.5% since last July."

"Most of us in the industry know about the great work boat builders did during World War II to supply the military with vessels. It’s worth remembering, though, during this Memorial Day week. I was reminded of it once again as we finished up our anniversary issue, which went to print this week.

The folks at Correct Craft/Nautique Boat Company shared some of their photos and information from that era, including the “Miracle Production.” That was when the company, then known as Pine Castle Boat and Construction Company, built 400 boats in 15 days in 1945 to aid the war effort – all without working Sundays. I’m sure the story is familiar to many of you, but worth sharing again.

You can read the full story in the words of Ralph C. Meloon Sr. here, but these are some of the highlights: On February 9, 1945, the government contacted the company and asked them how many boats they could make by February 28.

Simply put, the military needed boats and they needed them fast. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower was requesting 569 boats to help move troops and supplies across the Rhine as the allies made their final push into Germany. Although only scheduled to make 48 boats that month, the company agreed to produce 300.

Despite pressure from the government to work seven days a week, the company kept to its long-held belief not to work on Sunday."

The conversation with Ambassador Eizenstat focuses on the rise of anti-Semitism in America, the significance of US leadership on the world stage as isolationism grows from within, combined with an emboldened axis of resistance led by Iran and its proxies, including China and Russia, undermining the West's rule of law civilization.

Details: About 245,000 Holocaust survivors are living across more than 90 countries, according to a report released Tuesday by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference).

• The vast majority (95%) are child survivors born between 1928 and 1946.
• The median age of survivors is 86, and around 61% are women.
• Roughly half of the survivors live in Israel, while 16% reside in the United States, the country with the second largest percentage, the study found.
  

Around a third of the survivors in the U.S. are living in poverty, Greg Schneider, executive vice president of the Claims Conference, tells Axios.

Zoom in: 40% of survivors worldwide access or have accessed social welfare services from over 300 agencies that receive grants administered by the Claims Conference.

Brief bio:

Stuart E. Eizenstat of Washington, DC, is Chair of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. He previously served as a member from 2001–2004.

He is a senior member of Covington & Burling LLP’s international practice. During his public service in four administrations, Ambassador Eizenstat served as chief White House domestic policy adviser to President Carter and held a number of key roles in the Clinton Administration, including Ambassador to the European Union; Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade; Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business, and Agricultural Affairs; and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He served as a member of the White House staff for President Johnson. He has made Holocaust justice and memory a major part of his career.

During the Carter Administration, Ambassador Eizenstat recommended a President’s Commission on the Holocaust chaired by Elie Wiesel and helped draft the legislation authorizing creation of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Marc Lotter is from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and serves as the Chief Communications Officer at America First Policy Institute (AFPI). Previously, Marc served as Director of Strategic Communications for the Trump-Pence 2020 campaign. He also was a Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence during most of the first year of the Trump Administration. Prior to joining the administration, he served as Press Secretary to the Vice President during the 2016 presidential campaign and transition. 2. President Joe Biden's policy on Israel. The Biden administration's decision to block the transfer of congressionally approved military aid to the Jewish state presents greater risks. 3. Speaker Mike Johnson held a high-profile press conference unveiling the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act alongside the bill's leaders in the House and Senate, Rep. In 1994, former Gov. John Engler appointed Saad to the Michigan Court of Appeals, a role he held for 23 years, including a term as Chief Judge of the Michigan Court of Appeals. During his tenure, Judge Saad served on the Governor's Task Force for Abused Children, and he also served as the Chair of the appellate court's Education Committee.

Judge Saad was nominated to the federal district court by President George H.W. Bush and to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Court by President George W. Bush. Judge Saad retired from the appellate court in 2017.

Ambassador James Gilmore who served as America's top diplomat to the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria, from 2019-2021, provides a timely and relevant analysis of the conflict impacting the European continent, and how Russia's invasion of Ukraine impacts the national security of the United States. James S. Gilmore III was appointed by President Donald Trump to be Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria in 2019. He was confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate. As ambassador, he headed a mission devoted to the security issues of the 57 member countries, involving matters of geopolitics, arms control, economics and human rights.

Ambassador Gilmore was elected the 68th Governor of Virginia in 1997. Governor Gilmore traveled extensively on behalf of business development for Virginia, visiting sixteen countries on three continents.

He was a candidate for President of the United States in 2008 and 2016.From 1999 to 2003 Ambassador chaired the Congressional Advisory Panel to Assess Domestic Response Capabilities for Terrorism Involving Weapons of Mass Destruction, more commonly referred to as the “Gilmore Commission”. Mayor Gabriel Groisman's Brief Bio

Mayor Gabriel Groisman has been serving his community since November 2014, first being elected as a Councilman, and then in November 2016 was elected as the Mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida. He wrote and passed the nation’s first municipal anti-BDS ordinance in December 2015 and was the first in the nation to codify a uniform definition of anti-Semitism in December 2017. Groisman’s subsequent dealings with a local church who had previously boycotted and divested from Israel is the first documented success story of anti-BDS legislation. He is a sought after public speaker, regularly speaking to groups about fighting anti-semitism and the BDS movement, and related topics. Mayor Groisman has presented on two occasions at the United Nations in New York as a legal scholar on combating unjust and illegal commercial and academic boycotts of Israel, and has also presented at conferences held at the Italian Parliament in Rome, the Israeli Knesset and across the country. Still, Mayor Groisman prides himself in speaking to high school and college-aged students, who are the most directly impacted by the rise of anti-Semitism, always delivering a much needed sense of pride and strength.

In his private life, Groisman is also a practicing attorney and government affairs consultant. He is a partner at the prestigious firm of LSN Partners where he focuses on government relations in correlation with the firm's state and national practice. According to Reuters: "Over 2 million refugees have entered Poland from Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on Feb. 24, the Polish border guard said on Friday." Rainer Saks, a former chief of the Estonian foreign intelligence and a former chief of staff of the Estonian foreign ministry, said the Russian leadership thinks the Western countries are weak and therefore Russia hopes it will end Ukraine’s Western integration.

“The way Russia operates towards Ukraine comes from the fact that it regards the Western reactions essentially non-existent,” Saks said on a radio programme called “Vikerhommik”. “Russia thinks it can act and it regards the Western countries as weak. And the question is not whether the Western states actually are weak, the question is how Russia sees them.”

He said it was a paradox of a historical window that Russia’s leadership has defined the current time window as the ending of Ukraine’s integration towards the West. “And I’m not talking about stopping it, but finishing. Ending forever. That’s why this is happening.” Saks also noted on the Estonian Public Broadcasting radio programme that if the Western countries impose sanctions on Russia, then the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is prepared to strategically suffer through them.

He is a distinguished guest-host of America's Roundtable and serves on the International Leaders Summit's leadership board.

While serving as Mississippi’s chief executive officer, Governor Bryant largely centered his efforts on creating new economic opportunities, among other things. Under Governor Bryant’s leadership Mississippi saw its lowest-ever unemployment rate, its lowest-ever high school dropout rate, its lowest-ever teen pregnancy rate, its highest-ever number of jobs, its highest-ever number of graduating physicians, its highest-ever K-12 reading and math improvement scores, and its highest-ever high school graduation rate.

Governor Bryant’s dedicated focus on economic development yielded more than $8 billion in private sector investment in Mississippi as well as the largest economic project in state history—a landmark agreement with Continental Tire to build a major manufacturing facility in central Mississippi and create more than 2,500 new jobs.

Governor Bryant dovetailed public education reforms with a strong focus on workforce training programs and job creation. His administration worked to improve career-technical training programs and their delivery through Mississippi’s top-rated community and junior college system, pairing program offerings with local workforce opportunities and collaborating with the K-12 system to strengthen high school vocational programs.

He worked closely with the University of Mississippi Medical Center to build a new School of Medicine and to increase the number of graduating physicians each year; to position Mississippi as a national leader in telemedicine services and technology; and to create a state-of-the-art residential facility to care for medically fragile children.

Governor Bryant served as chairman of the Education Commission of the States; chairman of the Southern States Energy Board; chairman of Jobs for America’s Graduates; and chairman of the Royal Commonwealth Society of the United States.

Ellie Cohanim served as U.S. Deputy Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism at the U.S. Department of State. Senator Jim DeMint is the founder and chairman of The Conservative Partnership Institute in Washington, DC. Judge Henry Saad graduated with honors from Wayne State University Business School, and Wayne State University Law School, maagna cum laude. Judge Saad served as an adjunct law professor at both Wayne State University Law School and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

In a career that spans more than 40 years, Saad’s experience includes 20 years at the law firm of Dickinson Wright, where he served as partner.In 1994, former Governor Engler appointed Saad to the Michigan Court of Appeals, a role he held for 23 years, including a term as chief judge of the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Saad was nominated for federal appointments by both President H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush.

In 2018, Henry William Saad, joined Young & Associate’s professional legal team as Counsel to the firm.

The conversation also highlights the importance of focusing on the science and real data from around the world when addressing the concerns about the coronavirus pandemic which originated in Wuhan, China. Dr. Carson brings to the table his experiences as a medical professional, a longtime Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, a position which he held since the age of 33.

Dr. Ben Carson presents ideas and solutions, emphasizing the guidelines provided by the administration and best practices outlined in order to safely reopen schools across America. Over 50 million students from K-12 grade have been impacted by the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Greater concerns are raised as some states and school districts are pushing back on safely reopening schools. While virtual education may help a certain group of students, these efforts may further marginalize the over 43% of children from lower income families lacking access to digital devices and the 15% of U.S. households with school-age children who do not have a high-speed internet connection at home. Schools insisting on virtual education are ignoring the digital divide. This may adversely affect low-income families and specifically children from the Black, Hispanic and rural areas.

— The Opportunity Zones incentive, created by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, was designed to spur economic development and job creation by encouraging long-term investments in low-income communities nationwide. Nearly 35 million Americans live in the more than 8,700 Opportunity Zones across the country.

—The Secretary was just in Charleston, SC for an Opportunity Zone focused event with Senator Scott to discuss a new rule from the Treasury to drive more capital in underserved communities.

—273 action items have been completed by the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council as of the end of April. This list is available at OpportunityZones.gov. Each of these action items helps further the Council’s mission of complementing private Qualified Opportunity Fund investment.

—The rate of infection among younger schoolchildren and from students to teachers has been low, especially if proper precautions are followed. There have also been few reports of children being the primary source of COVID-19 transmission among family members. That’s where the data currently stands.
