Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Gordon G. Chang, a leading expert on U.S.-China relations. Gordon G. Chang is an American attorney and author of Plan Red: China's Project to Destroy America and The Coming Collapse of China. Chang lived and worked in China and Hong Kong for almost two decades, most recently in Shanghai, as Counsel to the American law firm Paul Weiss and earlier in Hong Kong as Partner in the international law firm Baker & McKenzie. He served two terms as a trustee of Cornell University.
The conversation with Gordon Chang focuses on the threats emanating from China that are impacting America on the economic and security fronts. Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy speak with Gordon Chang about China's aggressive tactics to undermine the United States. From cyberattacks to fentanyl and economic power plays, Chang breaks down the CCP’s dangerous agenda.
How will America and other democratic nations respond to the growing influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) led by its Secretary General Xi Jinping who wants to shape the world in China's image?
Plan Red: China's Project to Destroy America by Gordon G. Chang
In his new book Plan Red: China's Project to Destroy America (https://www.amazon.com/Plan-Red-Project-Destroy-America/dp/B0DD94BNDR), Gordon Chang writes that in Xi Jinping's conception of the world, there is no place for the United States or even the current international order.
Analyst Gordon G. Chang warns that Xi Jinping believes he must destroy America to accomplish his objectives. And that Xi already has a plan to do it. Xi reveres Mao and is marching China back to Maoism. He is reinstituting totalitarian social controls, demanding absolute political obedience from everyone, and cutting foreign links. Closing China off from the world is an essential element of his plan to save the communist system. His isolationism and xenophobia evoke policies from the earliest years of the People's Republic and during the two millennia of imperial rule. And Xi can't stop talking about war. More significantly, he is implementing the largest military buildup since the Second World War, he is trying to sanctions-proof the Chinese regime, he is stockpiling grain and other commodities, he is surveying America for strikes and sabotage, he is mobilizing China's civilians for battle, and he is purging China's military of officers opposed to going to war.
Gordon G. Chang's writings on China and North Korea have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The National Interest, The American Conservative, Commentary, National Review, Barron's, and The Daily Beast. He is a columnist at Newsweek and writes regularly for The Hill.
He has given briefings at the National Intelligence Council, the Central Intelligence Agency, the State Department, and the Pentagon. He has also spoken before industry and investor groups including Bloomberg, Sanford Bernstein, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia. Chang has appeared before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.
Chang has appeared on Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Newsmax, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, PBS, the BBC, and Bloomberg Television.

Derrick’s journey of public service started when he joined the Navy at the age of 18 and served for 26 years, retiring as a Navy SEAL Senior Chief with 5 combat deployments and several others to troubled areas in the world. His first combat deployment was to Bosnia Herzegovina immediately following the signing of the Dayton Accords. Derrick Van Orden continued his service with multiple combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. Additionally, he served in the Horn of Africa, Asia, Europe, and South and Central America. During his tour in Europe in 2012, under the Obama administration, he was responsible for planning Special Operations contingency operations for the European Continent.

Congressman Van Orden understands the significance of freedom and the tremendous cost paid to protect America and its citizens. He lost close colleagues ⏤the tragic killing of his former teammate Ty Woods and fellow SEAL Glen Doherty during the terrorist attack on the embassy annex in Benghazi, Libya.

Congressman Van Orden serves on the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, Agriculture, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

Key Topics:

⏤ The national security crisis on America’s southern border, the waves of millions of illegal immigrants entering the United States, and the heavy economic toll on American citizens and taxpayers across the country. Newsweek report: “With illegal immigration now costing $150.7 billion annually, the burden inevitably trickles down to the taxpayer. Individually, the FAIR study found that each illegal alien or their U.S.-born child costs the U.S. $8,776 annually.”

Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat (https://gettr.com/user/brateconomics), economist, dean of the School of Business, Liberty University, and executive advisory board member, International Leaders Summit.
This weekend's conversation will focus on the vital issues impacting America's citizen-stakeholders and the world:
— The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and The Signature Bank and its cost to America's taxpayers.
— Spotlight on the Federal Reserve Bank and its adverse impact on the free market economy.
— The future of regional banks in America.
— Addressing the dangers of President Biden's ESG rules—"environmental, social and governance" placing retirement savings at risk.
"Put simply, retirement savings will be used as leverage to force companies to reduce their carbon emissions and establish racial and gender quotas and other social justice fads completely unrelated to securing a high return on workers' lifetime savings....Terrence Keeley, a former executive at BlackRock, blew the whistle on this scam in the Wall Street Journal by noting that since 2017, when the ESG fad took hold, these funds have had an annual rate of return of 6.3% – versus 8.9% for the stock market as a whole. Investors lost 2.6% per year on their retirement funds. There goes the down payment on that retirement home in Arizona or Florida." — Stephen Moore (https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/bidens-esg-investment-rules-threaten-your-retirement-savings)
— The China Threat.

There goes the down payment on that retirement home in Arizona or Florida." — Stephen Moore

— The China Threat.

Biography | Dr. David Brat

His knowledge base comes from years of experience in business, as an economic consultant with Arthur Andersen and the World Bank and 20+ years of work in higher education teaching economics and ethics. He worked with the Senate side of the Virginia General Assembly for seven years.
Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Senator Jim DeMint who shares his insights and thoughts on key issues that impact our fellow Americans. We are reviewing the robust debate in the U.S. House of Representatives whereby Republicans had an open conversation on increasing transparency around how legislation is put together. Through Senator Jim DeMint's leadership at Conservative Partnership Institute, the organization has called for principled measures to engage the broader membership in legislating and bringing accountability back to the People's House.
The conversation is also focusing on America's $31 trillion debt-ceiling being maxed out and principled solutions on how to avoid a fiscal crisis through applying prudent and common-sense measures. The discussion on America's Roundtable with Senator Jim DeMint addresses the Ukraine-Russian conflict and what that means for America's security. Questions about accountability on how US taxpayer funds and military assets are being utilized in Ukraine is raised with the importance of advancing America's policy of "peace through strength," rather than engaging in endless wars.

Join America's Roundtable Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a recent conversation with Arizona's State Treasurer Kimberly Yee focusing on her leadership role in countering the dangerous anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Sanctions, and Divestment) movement. The conversation highlights the rise of anti-Semitism and how principled leaders across America are calling for principled actions against the BDS movement—a hateful campaign designed to delegitimize Israel and Jewish communities in America and around the world.
Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee put investment firm Morningstar on notice and stated that it violated the state’s anti-BDS law.
The Jewish Insider | Morningstar ESG rating system violates Arizona anti-BDS law, treasurer says (https://jewishinsider.com/2022/08/arizona-kimberly-lee-morningstar-esg-sustainalytics/)
“As Treasurer, it is my duty to ensure that Arizona does not do business with companies that are attempting to undermine Israel’s economy and violate Arizona’s anti-BDS law,” said Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee. “Morningstar’s ESG rating subsidiary, Sustainalytics, appears to violate Arizona law by negatively impacting ratings of companies doing business in Israel. I continue to strongly oppose the use of woke ESG ratings in order to keep politics out of Arizonan’s livelihoods and retirement accounts.”
In Treasurer Yee’s letter to Kunal Kapoor, CEO of Morningstar Inc., she informed Kapoor that the company had 30 days within receipt of her letter sent on August 18, 2022, to provide written certification explaining how Morningstar’s usage of ESG ratings does not violate Arizona’s anti-BDS law. Further, Treasurer Yee required that Morningstar must provide a written averment that they will not engage in any future boycott activities against Israel.
“As Arizona’s Chief Banking and Investment Officer, I stand with Israel, and I will not allow taxpayer dollars to become victim to the woke political gamesmanship of ESG ratings. ESG ratings are a political scorecard, not a financial scorecard,” said Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee. “I will not allow companies to promote policies that are antisemitic and discriminatory efforts against Israel, which is America's longtime friend and ally, and a significant trade partner with Arizona.”
Treasurer Kimberly and Arizona's state government have stood in support of Israel's sovereignty and thwarted efforts of American companies working to boycott Israel.
Last year in September 2021, Treasurer Yee withdrew $143 million of Arizona's public funds from Unilever, the parent company of Ben and Jerry's over the ice cream firm’s decision to cease sales in Judea and Samaria also known as the West Bank, and east Jerusalem.
A published report stated (https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/arizonas-state-treasurer-divests-funds-ben-jerrys-anti-semitic-boycott-israel) — "Arizona will not do business with companies that are attempting to undermine Israel’s economy and blatantly disregarding Arizona’s law," said Treasurer Kimberly Yee.

The Jewish Insider | Morningstar ESG rating system violates Arizona anti-BDS law, treasurer says

A published report stated — "Arizona will not do business with companies that are attempting to undermine Israel’s economy and blatantly disregarding Arizona’s law," said Treasurer Kimberly Yee.

Join America's Roundtable co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy for a conversation with Charlie Weimers, a member of the European Parliament representing Sweden. We focus on the lessons from Sweden and the EU's 2015 economic migrant crisis of 1.3 million people entering the EU block, China's threat to Europe, the US and Sweden's response to the COVID pandemic, and the EU's bureaucracy in botching vaccine roll-out that cost lives.
Charlie Weimers is a member of the European Parliament for the Sweden Democrats and sits in the European Conservatives and Reformists group. He serves on both the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs committee and the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs committee. Charlie is a strong supporter of the transatlantic relationship and his efforts in Brussels are focused on limiting the growth of the EU federal government and in particular promoting fiscal conservativism; opposing the growth of political Islam and countering terrorism.
