Brief Bio:

At the conclusion of his term as Governor of Virginia, George Allen viewed with satisfaction the monumental reforms his administration achieved that made Virginia a national model in economic development, public safety, education accountability, and welfare reform.

The Washington Post called Allen “one of the most influential governors in recent Virginia history”.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch recently praised Allen’s campaign “among the most policy-driven campaigns in gubernatorial history.”

Keeping the promises he made to Virginians, and working with a Democratic-controlled General Assembly, Allen successfully cut taxes by more than $600 million; instituted high academic Standards of Learning and School Performance Report Cards; made neighborhoods safer with the abolition of parole; initiated historic, pro-work welfare reforms; enacted the nation’s first Public-Private Transportation funding system; repealed or amended 71% of all regulations; reduced the size of government with greater efficiency and accountability; and grew the economy – making sure the world knew “Virginia is Open for Business”. With added revenues, Allen was able to freeze tuition rates at universities and community colleges.

Allen’s administration recruited over $13 billion in new investments and created more than 300,000 net new private sector jobs. When Allen was sworn in as Governor in 1994, coal and cigarettes were Virginia’s top exports; after four years of Allen’s tireless dedication to economic-development, semiconductor chips became Virginia’s top export, leading U.S. News and World Report to dub Virginia the “Silicon Dominion”.

Before government service, John used his complete fluency in Japanese to serve in Christian missions in Japan, where he helped churches reach the vulnerable using technology, and deployed homeless outreach strategies for Japanese churches. Prior to his service in Japan, John worked as a software developer in Silicon Valley on cybersecurity products at Symantec, and on the first version of the iPhone at Apple.

He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

According to a published report:

"Enbridge has warned that a Line 5 shutdown would threaten Michigan’s energy security, particularly for Upper Peninsula residents who rely upon propane from Line 5 to heat their homes. The company has also said a Line 5 shutdown would increase fuel prices and harm Southeast Michigan and Ohio refineries that process oil from Line 5. But during a brief shutdown in June, gas prices did not noticeably rise."

Bio John Gibbs

With more than 20 years of experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, John was appointed by President Trump as Acting Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development at HUD under Secretary Ben Carson, where he oversaw an annual budget of $8 billion to help fight homelessness and expand economic opportunity.

Gibbs is a Michigan native, the grandson of Black sharecroppers from the deep south, and the first in his family to attend college - a life journey which exemplifies the opportunity our great nation provides. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

She brings to the forefront the concerns about our children in her op-ed piece via The Wall Street Journal titled, "The Pandemic’s Toll on Teen Mental Health" in which she states: "The pandemic may have taken a heavier mental toll on young people than it has on adults. As the vaccinated proportion of the population increases and the pandemic ebbs across the U.S., a different crisis demands immediate attention. The nation’s health and education leaders must focus now on helping young people get past what has been a long, dark year."
