Ambassador Hoekstra served in the US Congress (1993-2011) and was chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. He was a member of the Gang of Eight from 2004 until 2011 receiving the most highly classified information available in the U.S. government. He is currently the chairman of the Michigan Republican Party.
