Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of the iconic boat manufacturing company Correct Craft which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025. Correct Craft's notable brands include Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, SeaArk, Parker, and Ingenity boat companies, Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Indmar Marine Engines, Velvet Drive Transmissions, Mach Connections, Merritt Precision, Osmosis, Watershed Innovation, and Aktion Parks.
Bill Yeargin also serves as chairman of the National Marine Manufacturers Association with 1,300 member companies producing an estimated 85 percent of the boats, engines, trailers and accessories used by boaters and anglers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The conversation highlights Bill Yeargin's recent op-ed piece in CEO World Magazine titled, "Losing Capitalism," (https://ceoworld.biz/2024/08/22/losing-capitalism/) in which he relays concerns about the strong headwinds that are blowing against the ideas of economic liberty and free markets. "I am a CEO, not an economist, and I confess to having a strong affinity for capitalism. I believe if you want to help people, you should start a philanthropic organization. If you want to help a LOT of people, start a business. Capitalism is the undeniable wealth creator, but right now it is on life support." — Bill Yeargin, Losing Capitalism, CEO World Magazine
The timely conversation also focuses on economic polices being presented including a major tax hike on businesses which will adversely impact small companies and workers, and schemes that will halt investments in America. As tax competition for lower rates continues around the world, America may well become an economic laggard with businesses leaving its shores for low tax jurisdictions.
The Wall Street Journal's editorial board (https://www.wsj.com/opinion/kamala-harris-corporate-tax-increase-business-wages-2024-election-746ee509) opined by stating:
"The Democratic team that brought you declining real wages is now threatening to lower your pay again. That’s the practical effect of Kamala Harris’s idea to raise the U.S. corporate tax rate to 28%, and it’s instructive that an anti-growth tax increase is one of the Vice President’s few distinctive policy priorities so far. Ms. Harris’s endorsement Monday of a 28% rate, up from the current 21%, signs onto what President Biden has been proposing."
Over the decades, there have been certain forces decrying the ills of capitalism and making unsubstantiated claims. The think tank The Institute of Economic Affairs, which offered reformer Margaret Thatcher strategic ideas on turning Great Britain away from socialism in the 1970s and 1980s states: "...but when we see such unsubstantiated claims, we should remember; the data simply doesn’t support the anti-capitalists."
The discussion also raises the concerns of skyrocketing government spending. Milton Friedman, Nobel prize winner in economics and founding partner of International Leaders Summit (the think tank which launched America's Roundtable) said: “Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that's the true tax … If you're not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you're paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or in the form of borrowing."
Bill Yeargin authored a number of books including the bestseller, "Education of a CEO", "Making Life Better" and the recently released "Faith Leap" - now available on Amazon.
In an earlier episode on America's Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shared about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually.

Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat (https://gettr.com/user/brateconomics), economist, dean of the School of Business, Liberty University, and executive advisory board member, International Leaders Summit.
This weekend's conversation will focus on the vital issues impacting America's citizen-stakeholders and the world:
— The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and The Signature Bank and its cost to America's taxpayers.
— Spotlight on the Federal Reserve Bank and its adverse impact on the free market economy.
— The future of regional banks in America.
— Addressing the dangers of President Biden's ESG rules—"environmental, social and governance" placing retirement savings at risk.
"Put simply, retirement savings will be used as leverage to force companies to reduce their carbon emissions and establish racial and gender quotas and other social justice fads completely unrelated to securing a high return on workers' lifetime savings....Terrence Keeley, a former executive at BlackRock, blew the whistle on this scam in the Wall Street Journal by noting that since 2017, when the ESG fad took hold, these funds have had an annual rate of return of 6.3% – versus 8.9% for the stock market as a whole. Investors lost 2.6% per year on their retirement funds. There goes the down payment on that retirement home in Arizona or Florida." — Stephen Moore (https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/bidens-esg-investment-rules-threaten-your-retirement-savings)
— The China Threat.
Biography | Dr. David Brat
Before coming to Liberty, Dr. Brat served in the United States Congress for Virginia’s 7th District. He served on the Budget, Education and Small Business Committees, and Chaired the subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access.

Join America's Roundtable Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a recent conversation with Arizona's State Treasurer Kimberly Yee focusing on her leadership role in countering the dangerous anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Sanctions, and Divestment) movement. The conversation highlights the rise of anti-Semitism and how principled leaders across America are calling for principled actions against the BDS movement—a hateful campaign designed to delegitimize Israel and Jewish communities in America and around the world.
Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee put investment firm Morningstar on notice and stated that it violated the state’s anti-BDS law.
The Jewish Insider | Morningstar ESG rating system violates Arizona anti-BDS law, treasurer says (https://jewishinsider.com/2022/08/arizona-kimberly-lee-morningstar-esg-sustainalytics/)
“As Treasurer, it is my duty to ensure that Arizona does not do business with companies that are attempting to undermine Israel’s economy and violate Arizona’s anti-BDS law,” said Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee. “Morningstar’s ESG rating subsidiary, Sustainalytics, appears to violate Arizona law by negatively impacting ratings of companies doing business in Israel. I continue to strongly oppose the use of woke ESG ratings in order to keep politics out of Arizonan’s livelihoods and retirement accounts.”
In Treasurer Yee’s letter to Kunal Kapoor, CEO of Morningstar Inc., she informed Kapoor that the company had 30 days within receipt of her letter sent on August 18, 2022, to provide written certification explaining how Morningstar’s usage of ESG ratings does not violate Arizona’s anti-BDS law. Further, Treasurer Yee required that Morningstar must provide a written averment that they will not engage in any future boycott activities against Israel.
“As Arizona’s Chief Banking and Investment Officer, I stand with Israel, and I will not allow taxpayer dollars to become victim to the woke political gamesmanship of ESG ratings. ESG ratings are a political scorecard, not a financial scorecard,” said Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee. “I will not allow companies to promote policies that are antisemitic and discriminatory efforts against Israel, which is America's longtime friend and ally, and a significant trade partner with Arizona.”
Treasurer Kimberly and Arizona's state government have stood in support of Israel's sovereignty and thwarted efforts of American companies working to boycott Israel.
Last year in September 2021, Treasurer Yee withdrew $143 million of Arizona's public funds from Unilever, the parent company of Ben and Jerry's over the ice cream firm’s decision to cease sales in Judea and Samaria also known as the West Bank, and east Jerusalem.
A published report stated (https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/arizonas-state-treasurer-divests-funds-ben-jerrys-anti-semitic-boycott-israel) — "Arizona will not do business with companies that are attempting to undermine Israel’s economy and blatantly disregarding Arizona’s law," said Treasurer Kimberly Yee.

Join America's Roundtable co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy for an in-depth conversation with former U.S. Congressman David Brat, the brilliant economist, dean of the Business School at Liberty University, and executive advisory board member of International Leaders Summit — focusing on America's economy and the future of public policy in the United States. The conversation will also highlight a new Wall Street Journal-NORC Poll which shows that Americans are deeply pessimistic about the U.S. economy and view the nation as sharply divided over its most important values.
According to The Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/articles/inflation-political-division-put-u-s-in-a-pessimistic-mood-poll-finds-11654507800), "Some 83% of respondents described the state of the economy as poor or not so good. More than one-third, or 35%, said they aren’t satisfied at all with their financial situation. That was the highest level of dissatisfaction since NORC began asking the question every few years starting in 1972 as part of the General Social Survey."
The discussion will also bring to the forefront the Biden administration's efforts to loosen up federal patent rules, thus opening the door for high-tech companies backed by the Chinese government to raid American inventions in the highly coveted 5G space.
According to The Washington Examiner, "...three GOP senators are also warning that in watering down intellectual property protections, the administration could be jeopardizing national security at a time when China and other potential foes are outspending the United States on 21st-century technology by a mile.”
This weekend's program will also review the concerns being raised by American citizens and legislators about the Biden Administration's foreign policy follies and the US entering a quagmire in Europe with $40 billion of taxpayer funds designated for Ukraine, while wealthy European nations still remain hesitant about paying their fair share for defense on the continent.

Victor Davis Hanson, senior fellow at Hoover Institution, Stanford University and New York Times bestselling author joins America's Roundtable co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a timely conversation on one of the greatest challenges impacting America. Professor Hanson explains the decline and fall of the once cherished idea of American citizenship.
Human history is full of the stories of peasants, subjects, and tribes. Yet the concept of the “citizen” is historically rare—and was among America’s most valued ideals for over two centuries. But without shock treatment, warns historian Victor Davis Hanson, American citizenship as we have known it may soon vanish.
In The Dying Citizen — How Progressive Elites, Tribalism, and Globalization Are Destroying the Idea of America, Hanson outlines the historical forces that led to this crisis. The evisceration of the middle class over the last fifty years has made many Americans dependent on the federal government. Open borders have undermined the idea of allegiance to a particular place. Identity politics have eradicated our collective civic sense of self. And a top-heavy administrative state has endangered personal liberty, along with formal efforts to weaken the Constitution.
As in the revolutionary years of 1848, 1917, and 1968, 2020 ripped away our complacency about the future. But in the aftermath, we as Americans can rebuild and recover what we have lost. The choice is ours.
Bio: Victor Davis Hanson, PhD | https://victorhanson.com/
Hanson, who was the fifth successive generation to live in the same house on his family’s farm, was a full-time orchard and vineyard grower from 1980-1984, before joining the nearby CSU Fresno campus in 1984 to initiate a classical languages program. In 1991, he was awarded an American Philological Association Excellence in Teaching Award, which is given yearly to the country’s top undergraduate teachers of Greek and Latin.
Hanson has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, International Herald Tribune, New York Post, National Review, The Washington Times, Commentary, The Washington Post, Claremont Review of Books, American Heritage, New Criterion, Policy Review, Wilson Quarterly, Weekly Standard, Daily Telegraph, and has been interviewed on National Public Radio, PBS Newshour, Fox News, CNN, and C-Span’s Book TV and In-Depth.
Hanson is the author of hundreds of articles, book reviews, scholarly papers, and newspaper editorials on matters ranging from ancient Greek, agrarian and military history to foreign affairs, domestic politics, and contemporary culture. He has written or edited 24 books. His latest books, The Case for Trump (released on March 5, 2019) and The Second World Wars (October 2017), a history of World War II, were both published by Basic Books.
Hanson was educated at the University of California, Santa Cruz (BA, Classics, 1975, ‘highest honors’ Classics, ‘college honors’, Cowell College), the College Year in Athens (Athens, Raphael Demos Fellow, 1973-4), the American School of Classical Studies, Athens (regular member, 1978-79) and received his Ph.D. in Classics from Stanford University in 1980, with special emphases in the classical authors Thucydides and Aristophanes.

Join America's Roundtable co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy for a conversation with Foster Friess.
In 1974, Foster and Lynn Friess launched Friess Associates. The firm’s flagship, the Brandywine Fund, averaged 20 percent annual gains in the 1990s, causing Forbes magazine to name it one of the decade’s top mutual funds. Business Week heralded him as the “longest surviving successful growth stock picker” and CNBC’s Ron Insana dubbed him one of the “century’s great investors.”
Foster works to promote the Founding Father principles of free enterprise, limited constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, and traditional American values. He believes we can find effective, innovative private sector solutions to many of the problems we face.
Among their many philanthropic commitments, Foster and Lynn, through the Friess Family Foundation, support mobile medical vans in needy U.S. neighborhoods, provide clean drinking water in Malawi, Africa, and assist in natural disaster relief efforts around the world. Foster received the Muhamad Ali Humanitarian Award and Childhelp’s Spirit of the Children Award, among other honors.
Foster Friess was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 1940 and a first-generation college graduate. His mother dropped out of school in the eighth grade to pick cotton in order to save the family farm in Texas. His father dealt cattle and horses.
His investment strategy, based on the premise that —individual-company fundamentals drive stock prices, generated strong results for the portfolios he managed on behalf of institutions and high-net-worth individuals. Business Week heralded him as the “longest surviving successful growth stock picker” and CNBC’s Ron Insana dubbed him one of the “century’s great investors.

Among their many philanthropic commitments, Foster and Lynn, through the Friess Family Foundation, support mobile medical vans in needy U.S. neighborhoods, provide clean drinking water in Malawi, Africa, and assist in natural disaster relief efforts around the world.
Join America's Roundtable co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy for a conversation with Honorable Maurice McTigue, QSO, on the erosion of the rule of law in America, threats to freedom of speech, weakened democratic institutions and solutions in advancing principled policy reforms. The conversation brings to the forefront America's economy, the importance of competition among America's states, and rollout of the Biden administration's economic policies. Election integrity and the sanctity of the ballot is brought under the spotlight in light of widespread voter distrust of America's electoral process.
The Honorable Maurice McTigue is Vice President for Outreach at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Mr. McTigue serves on the executive advisory board of the International Leaders Summit and delivered keynote addresses at The Jerusalem Leaders Summit in Israel, the International Leaders Summit’s events in Brussels, Eastern Europe and Washington, DC. Mr. McTigue has testified on Capitol Hill and published articles in many major media outlets, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, Bloomberg, US News & World Report, and The Chicago Tribune. In Washington, DC, McTigue advised the White House Office of Management and Budget and most federal agencies on issues of accountability and transparency and has consulted with legislators and governors in more than 30 states.
A former cabinet minister and member of parliament in his native New Zealand, McTigue was one of the architects of the “New Zealand miracle,” which dramatically reformed the country’s government and economy by implementing market-driven, progrowth policies. He later became New Zealand’s ambassador to Canada and received the prestigious Queen’s Service Order in recognition of his public service from Queen Elizabeth II.

On America's Roundtable, former US Congressman Dr. David Brat, dean, School of Business, Liberty University and executive advisory board member, International Leaders Summit, joins a conversation focusing on the American economy looking at relevant data and the dynamics at play during the Covid-19 season. The discussion also covers America's law and order, the monuments destroyed, healthcare reform and efforts to address cronyism in healthcare sector (one-sixth of the U.S. economy). Dr. David Brat, Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy also bring to the forefront the recent victory - the Trump Administration's Price-Transparency Rule which upholds hospital price transparency. According to The Wall Street Journal, "The American Hospital Association lost its legal bid to stop the Trump administration from requiring hospitals to disclose secret rates they negotiate with insurance companies, a victory for one of President Trump’s central health-policy initiatives."
The radio segment also covers the significance of strengthening the rule of law, upholding the U.S. Constitution, Chinese Communist Party's agenda including the recent deadly China-India border clash killing 20 Indian soldiers, and the West's emerging "new cold war" with China.
