&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Eligibility&lt;/strong&gt;: Any student in grades 3–12 who is a legal resident of any of the 50 states or 6 U.S. territories is eligible to enter.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Submission Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;: Participating students should create and submit an original, handmade two-dimensional artwork and a 200-word artist statement (100 words for elementary students). Use the steps outlined in the section below.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Submission Categories&lt;/strong&gt;: Upper Elementary School Students (Grades 3-5); Middle School Students (Grades 6-8); High School Students (Grades 9-12).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At the Humanities Endowment, Julie works with various grant programs in the Chairman’s Office and the Division of Lifelong Learning. She also serves as the Agency’s Lead for the White House Task Force 250 and as an Ex Officio member of the America250 Congressional Commission.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Julie is currently on a “detail” to NEH from the National Gallery of Art, where she has served as a Senior Educator and Manager of National Teacher Programs. At the National Gallery of Art, she led Across the Nation partnership-building with regional museums and developed and implemented professional learning programs and curricula for educators, nationally and internationally, onsite, and online. She and her team produced two Massive Open Online Courses, Teaching Complex Thinking through Art with the National Gallery of Art, launched in 2024 on the edX platform, and Teaching Critical Thinking through Art, launched in 2019, serving approximately 40,000 people from 150 countries. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;She regularly speaks on topics of integrating art into pedagogy and the role of art in supporting deep thinking and social-emotional wellness. Julie earned her bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her master’s from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. &lt;/p&gt;
